Mary Van Kerrebrook

Mary Van Kerrebrook represents commercial property owners in property tax valuation disputes in Harris County. Mary is past Chair of the State Bar of Texas Property Tax section. Mary’s undergraduate degree is in economics, from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Her law degree is from Southern Methodist University Law School, where she was both on the law review and a member of the school’s trial advocacy team.

Her notable cases include Harris County Appraisal District v. Riverway Holdings, the seminal case upholding a summary judgment for taxpayers on the issue of a property’s taxable value.
